Movement is life. The musculoskeletal system is our health’s motor and it contributes to our well-being. The aim of orthopaedics is to restore mobility, which enables us to participate in the social side of life and enjoy an improved quality of life.
In my parental home I was taught the importance of exercise, which made it one of my passions up to this day. Early on in my medical studies, it also aroused my interest in orthopaedics, even though, during my first training stations in Munich, Switzerland and Stuttgart, the field was strongly male-dominated.
My passion for sports led me to train at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Sports Injuries (now Sport Orthopaedics) at the Technical University of Munich and the Sport Clinic Stuttgart. I also worked at the Surgical and Orthopaedic University Clinic in Basel, where I received a well-founded orthopaedic background.
In 1999 I successfully passed the examination to become an orthopaedic specialist. During my later career as a senior physician in the orthopaedic department of Medical Park St. Hubertus Klinik Bad Wiessee, I had the privilege of caring for competitive athletes. Here, I also acquired the specialist title for physical and rehabilitative medicine (PRM).
In 2004 I founded an orthopaedic practice in Tutzing jointly with Dr Andreas Krüger, and I have successfully continued it since the beginning of 2019 in partnership with Dr Nicholas McArthur.
Thanks to my many years of professional experience in orthopaedics and PRM, I offer my patients optimal conservative care through a broad therapeutic spectrum, including manual therapy, chirotherapy and other pain therapeutic procedures as well as alternative procedures such as acupuncture, neural therapy, shock wave therapy, laser therapy and kinesiotaping.
You, the patient, are at the centre of my focus and we will jointly discuss and develop the optimal therapy for your needs.
